Indeed, today is the day the Lord has made – a day of thanksgiving to God, a day to count our blessings, a day to remember and celebrate men and women who responded to the call of God to plant the Living Springs Assemblies of God church; men and women of diverse backgrounds who joined Living Springs Assemblies of God (LSAG) along our 20 years journey. These noble men and women sacrificed their time, talents and treasures to bring this great Church to its present state. You have been vessels of God who led the Church into the present and the future under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The Living Springs Assemblies of God is part of the Assemblies of God, Ghana. The LSAG church is currently led by Rev. Michael K. N. Atisu and Pastor Mrs. Susanna Atisu. It is ably supported by a seven-member Church Board and five pastors.

In 2002, Professors Ebenezer Asibey-Berko, Edward Ofori Sarpong, Naa John Sebiyam Nabila, Kofi Oduro Afriyie, and Mrs. Grace Bentil (with their families) under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and with the support of Mr. Baba Mahama (currently the President of the Full Gospel International Fellowship, Ghana Chapter) and the then Assemblies of God, General Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Simon B. Asore. These men and women championed the establishment of the LSAG Church.

Today, we have a total membership of over 400 active members. The figures are as follows: Men Ministry – 79 members, comprising 59 active members and 20 Path Finders; Women Ministry – 125, comprising JOY Fellowship and Young Singles; Youth Ministry has 35 members; Teens’ Church has 42 members and Children Ministry (made up of nursery, lower and upper primary), has 120 members.

The members comprise mainly of individuals from the University community and neighbouring communities such as Okponglo, Mempeasem, Shiashie, and University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) as well as graduates from the Assemblies of God Campus Ministries (AGCM).

Most of the members joined the Church following evangelistic activities embarked on by LSAG such as door-to-door evangelism, sharing of Bible-based tracts, placard evangelism and open-air crusades with the support of AGCM. As a Local Assembly, the vision of the Church under Rev. Michael K. N. Atisu’s leadership is to “raise a missional church by winning and discipling souls to live lives of holiness and power” to advance the Great Commission. Under the leadership of the LORD through the Senior Pastor and the Church Board, LSAG intends to continue to execute our mandate as envisioned and venture into territories hitherto unexplored as the Spirit might lead, in consonance with the vision of the Assemblies of God, Ghana.

On behalf of the leadership and the members of LSAG, I warmly welcome every one of you to our 20th Anniversary celebration under the theme: “Impacting the World for Christ”. God richly bless you for coming.

Long live the Living Springs Assemblies of God!
Long live Assemblies of God Ghana!
Long live, Ghana!
Thank you.
